Review: Fisher-Price Go Baby Go Poppity Pop Musical Dino

Review: Fisher-Price Go Baby Go Poppity Pop Musical Dino
My daughter received the Fisher-Price Baby Go Poppity Pop Musical Dino for her first birthday. After seeing it on the shelf at the local retailer, I knew that she would love it and had to get it! During that time she was in the cutesy-stage of walking and trying to run, so I figured she would enjoy chasing after the balls, and needless to say, she did!

The Fisher-Price Baby Go Poppity Pop Musical Dino was one of her all-time-favorite toddler toys and I highly recommend it for anyone who has small small children under two years old.

What does it do?
The colorful balls pop and bounce around inside the dino while playing a fun tune, and sporadically roll out of the dino's mouth.  The balls actually stay in the bouncy area for considerable amount of time before exitiing, which means longer play times and leaves the child to anticipate the next surprise ball. My little girl loved dancing to the tune and putting the balls back in the dino while waiting for the next one to come out. Since there isn't a lot of momentum behind the balls, it makes it easier for smaller tots to be able to catch the balls, too.
Fisher-Price Baby Go Poppity Pop Musical Dino
As a parent, there are a few things I really liked about the Fisher-Price Baby Go Poppity Pop Musical Dino that I though were worth mentioning.... Of course, the two most important factors- fun and safety, were both there. But what about things like batteries and durability? Will I spend a fortune purchasing new batteries? Will it last for more than a few weeks? Well...
Battery Usage:
Another thing I really liked about the Fisher-Price Go Baby Go Poppity Pop Musical Dino was that the batteries last a while. We have only had to change our batteries out one time so far, which is pretty good considering that it plays music and also has the movement for popping the balls.
Durability:
One thing that did concern me about this fun little dino was the durability. I was concerned that it wouldn't last long because she has a tendency to stand inside the dino in hopes that it will bounce her. Obviously it doesn't, but it has stood up very well to her rough playing. The center of the bouncing area has a small rubber cap (which has never came off) that covers the bouncing mechanism and helps bound the ball. The rest of the center area is covered with a soft, stretchy material that has lasted very well. It has no snags, cuts or tears considering that she has tried to put all kinds of different toys in the bouncing area. The dino itself is very hard plastic and well made.
Over all, I would suggest the Fisher-Price Go Baby Go Poppity Pop Musical Dino for any baby or toddler that is capable of sitting upright on their own. It's a fun and fabulous toy!
