Beauty Box 5 Review

The great ladies over at Beauty Box 5 sent me one of their awesome subscription boxes to review, and I have fallen in love! This is the first subscription box I have ever received and I was very excited to not only review one, but also to find out what all the hype is about these little packages.

As soon as I saw the mail lady putting that little teal box in my mailbox, I was headed to it. I had no idea what was in it, but I was about to find out.

Before we delve into Beauty Box 5  review, let's talk a little bit about what a Beauty Box 5 is.

{Besides being a little teal box filled with complete awesomeness!}

Now that we know what comes in the Beauty Box 5, and how and where to get one,  lets see what get started with my Beauty Box 5 review....

Drum Roll, Please . . .

 Now, lets check out each of the awesome beauty products I received!

Awkward Moment Compact Mirror

The January 2014 Beauty Box 5 featured the new movie Awkward Moment, which was released January 31st. It included an Awkward Moment compact mirror that is perfect for tossing in my purse for the occasional touch up. It also included a promo card with details about the movie.

H2O+ Spa Body Wash in Sea Lotus Scent

Next in my Beauty Box 5 was one of my favorites- the Sea Lotus scented H2O+ Spa Body Wash. I had never heard of H2O+ products until now, but let me tell you--- This stuff smells A-M-A-Z-I-N-G and it left me skin feeling so soft. Honestly, I'm not a big fan of fancy-shmancy girly shower gels, but this stuff totally rocked! Not only did it smell great, it felt great. Enough that I actually noticed a difference an hour or so after I got out of the shower. --- This one was a huge A+ for me, and something I will be purchasing very soon. {If any of you know where to purchase it, be sure to let me know. I will be checking online, but would prefer to purchase it locally.}

Swissco Bath & Shower Exfoliating Gloves

The Swissco Bath & Shower Exfoliating Gloves were also in my Beauty Box 5 and went perfect with my H2O+! They fit like regular winter gloves and are soft, but had a little bit of texture for exfoliating all over. You simply slide them on, add your shower gel or bar soap and lather away! Ohh-la-la... more soft skin! {Okay, for a chick that doesn't care for all the girly fancy-shmancy stuff, I am really digging all this stuff!}

Epic Hemp Coconut Lip Balm

Next was the Epic Hemp Coconut Lip Balm. I haven't tried this one yet, but if it's anything like the rest of the products that I did try- this too, will be awesome.

Nubar Cuticle Conditioner

Another product that I received, but had never heard, of was the Nubar Cuticle Conditioner. I have never heard of the Nubar brand, but apparently it's some pretty good stuff. It's also free of weird chemicals such as formaldehyde. {Which, I didn't know was typically in these kinds of products. YUCK!}

Jergens Daily Moisture Dry Skin Moisturizer

Going back to the oh-so-soft skin, I also received a bottle of Jergens Daily Moisture Dry Skin Moisturizer that includes proteins and citrus extracts to hydrate and sooth your skin. {Mr. J is gonna love my soft legs now! Between the H20+ the exfoliating gloves and now Jergen's lotion... oh, yeah!}

Overall, I would say that the Beauty Box 5 is well worth the price you pay for this monthly subscription box. Whether, you purchase the monthy, quarterly or yearly subscription, it's well worth it! Not only are you receiving a great value for the price {plus the shipping is free}, but you will also be introduced to products you may not have known about or experienced otherwise. All and all, it's a great way to treat yourself each month, with something you know you will enjoy. Plus, it's like a mini-Christmas each month-- except that this one comes from the Beauty-Clause!

  1. I actually use very little beauty products.

    Hmn. I usually colour my brows and lashes, but have a mascara for special days. (it lasts a long time)
    A little fondation and blush. Also have a black liner and a "natural lip colour" liner laying, again for those special days.

    Other than that, some washing products.

    But these boxes are great for those who loves lot's of girly stuff :)

  4. I love reading about box reviews. I love the whole surprise factor and getting more then one thing at the same time in the mail. Beauty products are a little foreign to me as I just never used much. But I think reading such a great review it really entices me to want to try something new. Thanks so much for sharing:)
