Priva Ultra Absorbent Waterproof Sheet Protector Review

Disclosure: I got this product as part of an advertorial.
I was recently sent the Priva Ultra Absorbent 300 Washes Waterproof Sheet Protector to review. I figured that if it worked that it would be perfect for potty training. Well, needless to say I found another use for it along the way.

About 2 days after receiving my Priva Ultra Absorbent Waterproof Sheet Protector I hadn't even taken it out of the box, yet, when Miss K came down with a horrible stomach had her vomiting. In a desperate attempt to prevent a mess on the couch while also not confining her to the bedroom, I ran and got the sheet protector and laid it out on the couch. It was much bigger than I thought it would be so that was a huge plus. Meanwhile, I figured if she gets sick then we are putting this thing to the ultimate test.

Luckily she didn't get sick but, that also meant I could speak for it's capabilities. So, you know me... I had to play around a bit. I was able to pour a 4-cup measuring cup for of water on the pad with no messes, leaks or wet spots on my floor. Best of all, the protector quickly absorbed the water-- no pooling and no runoff, which means that it will also help prevent additional messes and most importantly, keep your child {or patient} from sitting in puddled urine or other messes. {Hmm, you figure that if you are using it for potty training or even caring for an adult who is sick or disabled that would be plenty of security to insure their bed stays dry. I think it's also worth mentioning, that while I didn't pour a gallon of water on the mat, I'm sure that it would hold several cups of liquid.}The pad claims to hold 5 cups of liquid, though I think it may go more depending on the situation.

Benefits of the Priva Ultra Absorbent Waterproof Sheet Protector:

  • Keeps sheets dry all night with four layers of protection
  • Four layer protection: soft quilted cotton/polyester surface, soft polyester fiberfill layer, super absorbent high density inner layer, and a vinyl waterproof non slip barrier
  • Generously oversized at 52" long to provide maximum protection; Absorbs quickly and locks in moisture for the best in skin care up to 5 cups
  • Goes over the bottom sheet to protect mattress and sheets from moisture and staining
  • Up to 300 Washes- Washer and Dryer friendly, bleachable

The padding on the top of the Priva Ultra Absorbent 300 Washes Waterproof Sheet Protector is soft and comfortable. The bottom side {which, would be on the bed or furniture}has a protective vinyl layer, similar to a soft table cloth. {No, it's not going to look like you are making your kid's bed with a table cloth. You don't see it unless you turn it over. Still very comfortable and doesn't make noise!} The vinyl barrier is used to prevent messes from soaking through to your furniture and bedding. Consider it the Ultra barrier in addition to the super absorbent layer on top.

Overall, I was very pleased with the performance of the Priva Ultra Absorbent 300 Washes Waterproof Sheet Protector. I would strongly recommend it for anyone who is potty training, caring for elderly or disabled friends and family, and anyone looking to protect their furniture and bedding from spills, messes, leaks and similar accidents. I mean after all, I used it for a vomit shield! It's large size covered almost the entire couch and covers Miss K's toddler mattress completely.

The Priva Ultra Absorbent 300 Washes Waterproof Sheet Protector is available on Amazon.com in 7 different sizes and can also be purchased with handles and flaps.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
