My Grace of God Movie Review

Between working full time, being a wife and mommy all the time and, blogging part time, I rarely have time to watch a movie. But, when I actually do have the luxury of getting an hour or two to myself to watch a movie, I expect it to be a good great one! When I was given the chance to review Grace of God I jumped on it! Not only because it sounded like a great faith-based movie in general but, with a cast that includes John Ratzenberger & Erin Bethea, it had to be a good movie. Throw in the fact that it is also based on the Ten Commandments, family-friendly, and highly-praised by Dove.org, and you have yourself a great movie in the making.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching Grace of God! While I would love to share an in-depth review sharing my favorite scenes and quotes, I will restrain myself to prevent any spoilers. {That's the only thing I don't like about reviewing books and movies... I can't reveal all the awesome parts without spoiling it!}

While I don't want to divulge too much regarding the plot, I will say that this was a fantastic movie. I was a little worried in the first 5 minutes that the movie may be a little dry. However, a few more minutes later, I realized this would not be a dull movie at all, even though the faith-lacking detective surely is... (Intentionally, of course, as part of his character--- not a reflection of the movie in any way!) The plot includes very realistic/relate-able crimes and sins, especially considering that theft in the church really does happen in today's society. {Sadly enough.}

I loved watching the drama unfold and when I finally realized who had taken the money (or so I thought) - go figure,  I was wrong. What happened next was even more unexpected but, you will have to watch it for yourself because Grace of God goes well beyond just a movie about someone stealing from the church... It goes much deeper, much-much deeper. Perhaps you might be a thief and not realize it, too!  Like the lady rounding her time clock hours up instead of down. Or, the man who cleaned his house with the cleaning supplies from the church.

Overall, I really loved Grace of God and would highly recommend it! After all, it's another Christian-based movie with Erin Bethea (from Fireproof--- hello, need I say more?)
